IPPF is seeking an experienced Finance Management Consultant to support the Kiribati Family Health Association (KFHA) as part of the Niu Vaka Pacific Strategy II. This consultancy will involve close collaboration with KFHA’s Senior Management Team, Finance Team, and Board to develop and implement a prioritised action plan that strengthens financial governance, compliance, and operational efficiency, while building local capacity to sustain improvements over time. The assignment is expected to take place primarily in Tarawa, Kiribati, with potential remote support before and after the engagement.
Key tasks & deliverables
• Develop and implement a Financial Integrity Policy and risk management framework
• Strengthen financial governance, procurement practices, and insurance coverage
• Provide MYOB support and improve financial systems and procedures
• Review cash flow, payroll processes, and introduce monthly bank reconciliations
• Produce clear quarterly financial reports (budget vs actual, cash flow, balance sheet)
• Build KFHA staff capacity through training and hands-on support
Qualifications & experience
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (postgraduate preferred)
• At least 7 years’ experience in financial management, audit compliance, or NGO grants
• Strong knowledge of MYOB, donor compliance, and financial policy development
• Familiarity with Pacific region financial and legal frameworks preferred
• Proven training and capacity-building skills
• Experience with IPPF or similar organisations is an advantage
