Youth to Youth in Health (YTYIH)

Youth to Youth in Health (YTYIH) is a youth-led organization dedicated to improving health and well-being in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI).

Initiated in the mid-1980s and formally incorporated in 1989, YTYIH has become a leading force in youth peer and community education through innovative outreach programs that promote cultural pride and knowledge sharing via music, dance, drama, and social media messaging.

Originally established as the promotional arm of the national Family Planning Program, YTYIH is now an independent non-governmental organization (NGO). It maintains formal partnerships with the Ministry of Health and Human Services and the Ministry of Education through memoranda of understanding (MOUs).

YTYIH operates a Youth Health Centre that hosts sports and community activities, along with a clinic in Majuro that provides sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services including family planning (FP), STI testing, HIV/AIDS counselling as well as mental health support for youth.
