Solomon Islands Planned Parenthood Association (SIPPA) submitted a report to the Human Rights Council ahead of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Samoa. Our submission reported that access to sexual and reproductive health information and services remains a critical gap in current interventions.

Adoption of UPR Outcomes

SIPPA noted with concern that Solomon Islands did not support recommendations such as access to appropriate information, education and adolescent-friendly sexual and reproductive healthcare for adolescents and youth, including for persons with disabilities; decriminalization of abortion and protecting the rights of children and persons with diverse sexual orientation and gender identities.
