The Reproductive and Family Health Association of Fiji (RFHAF) was inaugurated in June 1996. It has played a key role in shaping national family planning policy and in promoting sexual and reproductive health (SRH) education, particularly among young people and communities in which myths about the dangers of family planning prevail. The use of contraceptives is still believed by many to cause cancer and immature childbirth. RFHAF has also undertaken concerted national advocacy work (with a particular emphasis on HIV and AIDS) through its involvement with the National Advisory Committee on AIDS and the country co-ordinating mechanism. As such, it played a critical role in securing the HIV Prevention and Treatment Decree which outlaws discrimination, promotes counselling, testing and reporting, assures confidentiality, and legislates on the supply of blood products. The organization’s committed promotion of wider awareness of SRH issues is changing attitudes, and as attitudes change, uptake of services increase.

As the leading sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) service provider in the country, the Samoa Family Health Association (SFHA) delivers family planning and reproductive health services through three static clinics (two in Upolu and one in Savaii), and two mobile units which visit rural areas and other outer islands three times a week to provide comprehensive sexuality education and contraceptive services to vulnerable communities.    Being the leading SRHR champion in the country, SFHA has been very active in policy advocacy of SRHR issues in the past years and it also serves as an Acting Advisor on SRHR to the Government of Samoa.    In alignment to the strategic framework of IPPF, our main strategic focus is to champion rights, to empower communities, to serve the people, and to unite and perform.     It is guided by the following objectives:   to galvanize and secure legislative policy and practice improvements.   to encourage young people to access comprehensive sexuality education and information.   to deliver rights based SRH services including family planning.   to enhance operational effectiveness and grow our volunteer and activist supporter base.   We work closely with other NGOs and private sector in the provision of services and in creating an enabling environment to provide SRHR services and awareness.       SFHA is a major stakeholder of the Health Sector, and we work in close partnerships with other government ministries like the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Sports & Culture, Ministry of Police, Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment, National Human Rights Institute (Office of the Ombudsman), Ministry of Women, Community & Social Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade and others in the provision of services both awareness and clinically to the community at large.     We also collaborate closely with the Disaster Management Office in the provision of SRH and FP services during emergencies, particularly for vulnerable communities.

Formerly Family Planning, we’re now Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa. Still New Zealand’s largest provider of sexual and reproductive health services, clinics, information, advice and education. Online or in person, on a course or in a resource – we’re here to help you make decisions about your sexual health and wellbeing. Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa runs 30 permanent clinics which offer a range of sexual and reproductive health services, including contraceptive advice and prescriptions, insertion of contraceptive implants and intra uterine devices, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV, pregnancy testing and advice, and cervical screening. Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa provides early medical abortion at two of its clinics. An increasing number of services are offered via phone consultation and some, like our self-test STI service clients don’t need to see a clinician at all. We also provide clinical training and development courses for doctors, nurses, midwives and other health professionals.     We also run schools-based clinics, predominantly in high needs areas, and its health promoters operate out of 15 locations across the country. The health promoters work with schools, parents, and caregivers to lead courses on sexual and reproductive health (SRH). Since sexuality education became a compulsory component of the health curriculum in New Zealand schools in 2001, Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa has developed a range of curriculum aligned teaching resources and courses to support teachers and school staff to deliver effective SRH lessons.    Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa was awarded a government contract to provide the website, free phone number and nursing support for a national abortion telehealth service. Phase one of the service went live at the end of April 2022.    The organisation plays a key role in advocating at national and international level for legislative change to promote the right to control SRH as a fundamental human right. It is the secretariat for the New Zealand Parliamentarians Group on Population and Development, where the organisation’s expertise in delivering services to answer people’s SRH needs provides a practical grounding for policy improvements.

The Solomon Islands Planned Parenthood Association (SIPPA) is the leading NGO in providing Sexual & Reproductive Health & Family Planning information and services in Solomon Islands. SIPPA is a full member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). SIPPA is dedicated to supporting access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information, education and services. Adopting an integrated approach that encompasses service delivery, advocating to political and religious leaders and targeted educational campaigns, SIPPA has managed to achieve tangible results. 

Within Tonga's well-developed healthcare system and infrastructure, reproductive health (RH) services are made up of a well-defined clinical / curative component and a public health / preventative component. The government of Tonga acknowledges the crucial role played by the Tonga Family Health Association (TFHA) in the Reproductive Health Programme for the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), in particular the health-related MDGs 4, 5, and 6. TFHA supplies family planning (FP), maternal and child health (MCH) support, fertility and counselling assistance through 20 service points which include two permanent clinics and 15 community-based distributors (CBDs).

As the Pacific Island’s leading non-governmental organization (NGO) promoting and providing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, the Tuvalu Family Health Association (TuFHA) serves a population of 10,000 through one permanent clinic and five community-based distributors/community-based services (CBDs/CBSs). TuFHA is the only non-governmental organisation that advocates for and provides clinical services counselling in the area of sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Tuvalu. They only have one static clinic in the capital of Funafuti. The TuFHA network believes that no one should be left behind and ensures to reach all Tuvaluans, providing SRHR information and services through the outer islands outreach programs, monthly mobile clinics and activities. Moreover, TuFHA seeks to serve the vulnerable and often neglected groups in the society (underserved communities, people living with disabilities) and to provide safe spaces for these groups. Furthermore, in order to increase its reach, TuFHA collaborates and works together with stakeholders in the Ministry of Health, Gender Social Welfare department and other NGOs in the country. Central to the organisation’s work is the dissemination of SRH information to specific vulnerable and underserved communities including people living with disabilities in the childbearing age group, maritime workers and people in the correctional facilities. In addition, TUFHA has a strong network with faith-based organizations and government agencies.
